A safe place to heal, grow, and move forward.
Michigan House Inc. serves at-risk youth ages 11½ to 18½ with individual and group therapy, structured residential care, and real-world skill building — with the goal of transitioning every young person to a lower level of care within three to six months.
Treatment that meets young people where they are.
Michigan House Inc. is a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program serving at-risk youth ages 11½ through 18½. Our goal is clear, and it drives everything we do: help each young person stabilize, build real skills, and step down to a lower level of care within three to six months.
We do that through individual and group therapy — and through teaching skills the way young people actually learn them, by doing. In the home and out in the community, our youth cook, fish, kayak, hike, compete, and solve problems together. Every activity is a chance to practice communication, teamwork, patience, and self-regulation.
The result is a comprehensive program built around the whole young person, not just a diagnosis.
Individual & Group Therapy
Consistent clinical support that helps youth process what brought them here and build healthier ways forward, alongside peers doing the same work.
Skills Through Activity
Life skills taught in real settings — in the house and out in the community — so what our youth learn actually holds up once they leave.
A Path to Lower Care
Our program is built for transition. Discharge planning starts on day one and aims for a less restrictive placement in three to six months.
Therapy happens in session. Growth happens everywhere.

Every gift becomes an experience for a young person.
Donations fund the trips, equipment, and everyday extras that turn a placement into a turning point.
